Competition venue (plans of competition, warm-up and training areas)
Stadium SNP Stiavnicky and its surroundings are shown on the picture below. There are 6500 seats in the stadium.
The stadium has the following competition sites:
- 8 lanes
- 1 High Jump site
- 1 Pole Vault site
- 2 sites for Triple/Long Jump
- 1 Shot Put Circle
- 1 Discus Circle
- 1 Hammer Circle
- 1 Javelin site
Hammer throw will take place at a specialized stadium for this kind of discipline. The distance between this stadium and main stadium is 150 m (see map of stadium).
The surface of the track is synthetic – Conipur Mark from Conica Corporation. This surface has already received the IAAF Certificate.
The maximum spike lengths in the various events are:
- Track, Long Jump, Triple Jump and Pole Vault: 9 mm
- High Jump and Javelin: 12 mm
- Track 90 m long with 4 lanes
- 1 Shot Put Circle
- 1 Discus Circle
- 1 Hammer Circle
- 1 Javelin site
